The iCare uCare Association (ICUC) is a registered non-profit organization, established in 2019.

Our ICUC Food Bank Program commenced operations in April 2022 and has since been generously supported and funded by the Government of Alberta.

We collaborate with communities and partner with other organizations to serve over 200 low-income families.

We gratefully receive donations from COSTCO, among other local stores, in an effort to reduce food waste and improve food security in our community.

We are committed to pick up donations as instructed and be available for on-call pickups.

Originally serving NW communities, we are excited to expand our services to the SW communities since this spring.

We proudly serve over 200 families.

We distribute the donated food to these low-income families, special need families and seniors every day of the week.

The successes of the ICUC Food Bank Program are largely attributed to the strong support of generous donors, like Costco, and to our devoted volunteers.

We are actively recruiting volunteers and seeking partnerships with potential donors. If you have any inquiries or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

The iCare uCare (ICUC) Food Bank program distributes fresh fruits and vegetables to families in need. The high inflation has resulted in the cost of living rising dramatically. We launched this program to help those families in need eat well without the financial burden.

ICUC receives food donations from a grocery supplier about 5 times per week. Our devoted volunteers work tirelessly through all kinds of weather conditions to pick up, sort and distribute the donations to our families on the same day.

To date, there are more than 100 families registered in the ICUC Food Bank program. With the dedicated work of our volunteers, ICUC manages to assist up to 30 families on each food distribution day. Vast efforts are made in making sure almost all registered families receive some fresh fruit and vegetables at least once a week.

Currently, we use our volunteer’s garage to store and distribute food items. We are looking for a new place to accommodate the expanding needs of the community.  Please contact us if you have vacant space for renting.
